Working on community projects

Not only do we make our campus look as beautiful as possible we also help the local schools with painting and recycling projects.

Gardening and Recycling

This program combines gardening, sustainability, recycling and creative arts. Engage with local children and inspire positive environmental habits.

Cape Maclear faces challenges like limited environmental education and waste management issues. Volunteers can help address these by:

  • Teaching children about gardening, recycling, composting and sustainability.

  • Maintaining and expanding gardens at Chipatso.

  • Encouraging creativity with recycled art projects.

Preparing and serving food in our nutrition program

Our nutrition program is at the heart of Chipatso’s work. Volunteers help prepare and serve meals ensuring they receive the nutrition needed to grow and thrive. You might assist with meal prep, serving food or just engaging with the children in simple educational activities while they eat. This is a hands-on way to support local families directly. Your time in the kitchen and dining spaces will have a visible and immediate impact on the community.

    Education and Tutoring

Volunteers passionate about teaching can assist with tutoring and supporting our local education programs. You may lead small group sessions or one-on-one activities helping students with reading, writing, conversation or math encouraging them to reach their full potential. Your contributions help children gain the skills they need to gain confidence and succeed academically.

    Social Media and Technology

If your skills lie in technology, social media or communications, you can contribute by helping us document our work and/or create digital content that highlights our programs. This includes photography, videography, social media content, or even helping organize stories about the community and our projects. These contributions ensure that Chipatso’s work reaches a wider audience and supports long-term engagement.
